The 2-Year Curriculum
Year 1 — Fundamentals & Solo Flight
* Classroom & Theory: Master aviation history, local Texas aviation heritage, aerodynamics, weather patterns, and FAA regulations. * Cockpit Introduction: Hands-on training with flight controls, glass-cockpit avionics, and aircraft systems. * Guided Flights: Practice flight familiarization, takeoffs, pattern work, and landings. * Major Milestone: Your First Solo Flight! End Year 1 in the pilot's seat solo.
Year 2 — Cross-Country, Advanced Topics & Checkride
* Advanced Flight Skills: Cross-country navigation, night flying, and advanced flight maneuvers. * In-Depth Knowledge: Master complex airspace, aviation law, commercial regulations, and drone certification theory. * Checkride Prep: Intensive flight review, mock checkrides, and practical test preparation. * Major Milestone: Private Pilot Certification and career readiness.

How do partner scholarships work?
Fill out our main scholarship form, select "High School Applicant," and your application will automatically be reviewed for both in-house and partner grants ranging from $7,000 to $17,000.
Where are classes and flights conducted?
All ground school and flight operations take place at our facility: 200 Silent Wings Blvd, Hangar G1, Terrell, TX 75160.
